Hangydon is man of mystery in the Sanrio Cinematic Universe (SCU). A retro reddit post from BEFORE the pandemic had a few clippings from a 19802s issue of Strawberry News (the Japanese only 💔 Monthly Sanrio newspaper written by a staff of mostly female Sanrio Staffers.
